Leg Avenue Women's Woodland Fairy Costume, Green, Small Review

This costume is good quality for a costume. I wore it with the purple petticoat and wings. The petticoat is a must as the costume is very short without it. I keep getting compliments all night on the costume. The only small point of contention is that the foliage on the belt brooch and the hair clip is different than what is pictured. Instead of very woodsy foliage as pictured, it is lime green, sparkly, spiny-fernish foliage. It was a little bit of a disappointment.
The sizing is fairly accurate. However, the bust is bigger than the measurement guide suggests and gapes a bit at the sides. I took the sides in about 2 inches and shortened the shoulder straps which are rather long.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this.

Ever Pretty NWT One Shoulder Ruffles Padded Bridesmaid Dress 03537, HE03537PP18, Purple, 16US Review

I purchased this dress in white for my casual wedding. I really like the style. As I am not wearing a veil the fabric on the strap really adds a more "Bridal" feel.
I ordered a size 12 based on my bust measurement (bra size 36D). It fits nicely, I probably could have gone a size down, but the strap will keep it in place and the tiny bit of extra room ensures that there will be not weird bulges on my back or armpits. The silhouette of the dress makes it very wearable for many different figures.
The length is as shown in the SIZE CHART. I'm 5'7" and the length falls about 4"-5" below my knees. The model in the picture is prob. taller and wearing a smaller size.
The zipper is a little hard to zip so you may need help putting it on. I slipped mine on over the head and zipped. There is a hook to secure the zipper.
The draping is nice in the bodice but not perfect that is why I gave it 4 stars only ( and the zipper). When the strap is in place there is a slight gap that makes the draping across the top look a little off. That's really just nit-picking though...
The dress come folded in a plastic bag so it will need to be steamed. It arrived ahead of scheduled with standard shipping.
Overall I'm very happy. If you're considering a purchase, do it! It's a beautiful dress and an excellent value. I can't wait for my wedding day, June 15th 2013!!! I'll post pictures after that.

Dragonoid Deluxe Costume, Child M(7-8) Review

My son is 10 and tall for his age, and this was WAY TOO short, and also skintight, so that the, ahem, crotch area was uncomfortable and simply not appropriate for public viewing. The costume itself is very cool according to my son, and I think it's got a little more pleasing detail that most of these polyester-jumpsuit-type costumes. We would have been very happy with it, if it had fit him. I wouldn't order this for a child who's much bigger than a size 8.

First things first - here is the official sizing chart:

We ordered a couple of these in both medium and large sizes, according to the chart above. We found that even though we were a little under the medium sizing in the chart, the larges fit better. These suits have elastic waists and a somewhat stretchable spandex-type fabric blend (they aren't completely form fitting like spandex is, but they do have a little stretch and hug to them). I figured a medium would fit me alright since I have a 42" chest, but good livin' has given me a little belly, and I looked rather ... paunchy ... in the medium.

If it wasn't for the belly, I think the medium would have been just fine as it fit my chest and my legs great, so keep that in mind if you have a slender figure. Still, with it being somewhat form-fitting in nature, I'd say you probably be safe ordering one size up if you're unsure.

Overall, I love the look. It's a sharp looking jumpsuit. On Halloween, only one person got the reference, though. The lady at the gas station we stopped at said, "Nice. Prison escapee?" Well, kinda ... but no. A neighbor exclaimed, "Sweet - Ghostbusters!" It's a portal gun, not a proton pack, fella. And we were actually Ghostbusters last year. Have you ever even SEEN Ghostbusters, come to mention it?

Finally, a couple of young teenage girls were walking by when one yelled, "Hey! Chell! That is awesome!" Her friend turned and asked, "What's that?" The first girl explained, "It's from Portal. It's a video game. It's amazing. ... Seriously, you don't know what I'm talking about?! Come on!"

The validation from the people who "get it" definitely makes all the escaped convict and Ghostbuster guesses worth it. =)
