CW-X StabilyX Tights - Men's Review

I had the pleasure of picking up a pair of the CW-X Stabilyx compression tights at the start of the fall season (2012). So far they have functioned brilliantly. I love, love, love the feeling of extra support around the knees with their unique design. The longer waist is really nice. The only thing that would make this product better is if they had better support for 'the boys' similar to Skins cup design in the front of their compression.

A little background, I am an ultrarunner who does 50-80 miles of running per week. I have used 2XU, Skins, Under Armor, and Sugoi compression products and these tights are superior by a long shot. I will be back to update how many miles I get out of this gear, but based on performance of other compression tights, I would expect 400-500 miles.

UPDATE: I have now put just over 100 miles on these tights - my review still stands with the exception of long runs. I am going to dock a star because the seams on these tights are not flat and have a pretty ragged edge which will nearly cut your nuts in half on any run beyond 9-10 miles (and this is even with body glide applied liberally). So for short or medium length runs, these are great. If going further, look elsewhere for maximum comfort.

I ordered this coat because my Carhartt Women's "Sandstone Detroit Jacket", which I wear to work fall and spring, doesn't cut it in winter. The Sierra Jacket has ribbed inset cuffs, a longer back, a hood and a warmer lining than my Detroit style coat. I love this new jacket. It has an additional pocket with a velcro closure right where I like to keep my cell phone, unlike the zippered pocket in my Sierra. I have been completely pleased with this coat. It's also soft like an old teddy bear on the inside, so I'm all tough on the outside, snuggled on the inside. Better price here than anywhere else I looked too!

That is just a light carry...weighing in around 10pounds or so...If I really cram it in there I can hold SOOOO much more and then some. The great thing about this bag is its small size, it is very un-assuming and can easily be carried without allot of fatigue. The harness system and yolk around your neck is probably one of the most comfortable systems I have ever used and I am a total gear and bag junkie so that is saying allot.

I just got the 5.11 Bail Out Bag and will be switching the Rush twelve to my primary Day Hike and Bug Out Bag using the the new bag as my EDC (I carry to much crazy stuff to work)...I will leave the Rush twelve safely in my car for use if the SHTF. I have had allot of bags and this is up there with one of the best I have ever owned.

The fabric used is the type that sticks to itself. When I first opened the packed ALL the fringes were stuck together creating numerous knots. I still haven't been able to undo them all and as I finish one section of 1 row, the previous sections starts to get tangled up again. Hopefully before Halloween I'll be able to figure out some way to prevent the fringes from tackling together because at the moment, it is unwearable.
