So if I could afford a multi-thousand dollar hand-made French designer handbag, I for sure wouldn't be typing my own Amazon reviews. I'm not even sure I could bring myself to spend that kind of money on a bag anyway. But, I love the look of that iconic bag and I wanted to buy one that resembled it, but wasn't a blatant forgery. I was leary of buying a Chinese no-name bag, because sometimes the quality is so bad, but I had trouble finding a leather bag that wasn't a counterfeit. I was very pleasantly surprised by this bag. I am glad there is no branding, stamping or engraving that mis-represents who makes this. The design is slightly different in the way the bag closes - the locking strap on the front is merely decorative instead of functional. In fact, mine did not even come with a key for the padlock or a clochette. I am happy with the construction of the bag and the color is beautiful. I have received many compliments. It may not look like it costs thousands of dollars, but it perfectly serviceable for my needs. There are nice little metal feet on the bottom and the bag is a very solid leather. The inside is a sort of canvas type material that isn't too soft and floppy. There is a peculiar layout to the inside that I haven't quite figured out - the center zip pocket sort of floats off of the long side of the bag. There is a nice zipped outer pocket too. It came with a not very impressive dust bag and a shoulder strap. If this merchant makes a Kelly inspired bag, I would happily buy that too.
