PROS: Warm jacket for cold weather, camo looks beautiful, inside pockets (one velcro, one zips), Zipper is high quality. I don't feel like it's going to fall apart on me. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, but I'd bet that it's rain 'resistant' and in a light rain you'd stay dry. In a heavy rain I doubt it would stay as dry. I bought it for Duck and Deer hunting and so far I've been MUCH warmer the last hunt or 2 I've had it.

CONS: The hood is very stiff. I keeps wanting to be up on my head when I want it to lay flat on my shoulders. I'm sure a few washes and time will fix this and it's probably like this because of the sturdy material that makes it such a durable jacket. Really nothing else other than that. It was expensive?

OTHER THOUGHTS:

I bought mine on UMIdriect.com. I don't recommend them. No tracking number, I wasn't told when it was shipped, no response when I emailed them 12 days after I bought it. It got here just fine, but when I pay $10 for shipping I expect to know when it ships at the least. Looking back, I should have gone with Amazon.

I bought a Large after trying on a couple in a store (that were WAY overpriced) where I live. If you dunno what size you are, check carhartt's website. If you think you might be a large here's my stats: 38 Chest, 34 waist, 26ish arm length. I thought about the LT (Large Tall) but when I tried it on it was too long in the arms AND it went down almost to my knees. Normal large is big in the chest (I'm a slim guy) but it fits my lengths very well. Medium might have fit a 'little' better, but not by much.
